COURAGE

Faith Acting in the Face of Fear Pastoral Messages by Matriarch Elnette Edwards Beloved children, Courage is not the absence of fear—it's obedience in the presence of fear. It's doing what God calls you to do even when your knees are shaking and your heart is pounding. It's stepping forward when everything in you wants to step back. It's saying yes to God even when you can't see how it will work out. Every significant step of faith in my life has required courage. When God called me into ministry, I was terrified. Who was I to preach? What if I failed? What if people rejected me? When God called me to start a new work, I was afraid of financial instability and the responsibility. When God called me to confront sin in our community, I was afraid of backlash and misunderstanding. But each time, I learned that God doesn't call the equipped—He equips the called. The Bible is filled with examples of courageous faith. Think of Esther, who risked her life to approach...

CONTENTMENT

Queen Abbess Dr Patricia Hackshaw  The Secret of a Peaceful Heart "I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances." — Philippians 4:11 My Beloved, Contentment is the secret of a peaceful heart. It is not about having everything we want but about recognizing that God is enough. I have walked through seasons of abundance and seasons of lack, and I have learned that contentment is not about circumstances—it is about trust. It is the assurance that God is faithful, that His provision is sufficient, and that His love never fails. In The Mystical Order, we do not chase after the temporary pleasures of this world. We seek the eternal treasures of God’s kingdom. Contentment is the freedom to live with open hands, to trust God’s timing, and to rest in His promises. But let me share a truth I have learned: Contentment is not about complacency; it is about confidence. It is the willingness to trust God with our needs, our dreams, and our future, knowing that He holds al...

THE POWER OF FAITH IN TIMES OF UNCERTANITY

Dear Beloved in Christ, In this ever-changing world, where uncertainty often clouds our path, it is our faith that serves as the steadfast anchor for our souls. The Scriptures remind us in Hebrews 11:1 that "faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." This truth is not merely a comforting thought but a divine principle that sustains us through life's storms. As we navigate the challenges of today, it is easy to be overwhelmed by fear, doubt, and the unknown. Yet, our faith calls us to rise above these emotions and trust in the sovereignty of God. Faith is not the absence of difficulties but the assurance that God is with us in the midst of them. It is the quiet confidence that, even when we cannot see the way forward, God is already there, preparing a path for us. Let us remember the story of Abraham, who, despite his old age, believed in God's promise of a son. His faith was not based on what he could see but on the unshakable ...

THE COURAGE TO STAND FIRM

Title: "Standing Firm in Faith: Courage in the Face of Adversity" Beloved in Christ, In a world that often challenges our values and beliefs, we are called to stand firm in our faith. Ephesians 6:13 reminds us,  "Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand."  Standing firm doesn’t mean we won’t face trials, but it means we will not be shaken by them. This week, if you feel pressured to compromise your faith or values, remember that God is your strength. He equips you with everything you need to remain steadfast. Trust in His promises and let your life be a testament to His faithfulness. Ask yourself: Am I allowing fear or peer pressure to dictate my choices, or am I standing firm in what I know to be true? Let your faith be unmovable, anchored in Christ. For more encouragement on standing firm in your faith, visit  Mystical Order Inc.  and...

UNITY IN THE BODY OF CHRIST

HH, Patriarch Sir Godfrey Beloved members of The Mystical Order Ministries, Peace and strength be upon you. As your Patriarch, I call you today to reflect upon the sacred bond of unity that holds our ministry together. Scripture teaches that a house divided against itself cannot stand, and so it is with the Church—the living body of Christ. We are many members, diverse in gifts and purpose, yet joined together by one Spirit and one divine calling. Unity does not mean sameness; it means harmony—a divine blending of hearts and hands for the glory of God. When each member brings their gift with humility and love, the body is strengthened. The Apostle Paul reminds us that the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you.” Likewise, no Bishop, Deacon, or member of the Order stands above another, for all work in concert under the direction of the Holy Spirit. Let every heart therefore beat with compassion toward one another. Where there is misunderstanding, let there be patience;...

GENTLENESS

Strength Under Control Pastoral Messages by Matriarch Elnette Edwards My dear family, In a world that values aggression, dominance, and self-promotion, gentleness seems weak. But gentleness is not weakness—it's strength under control. It's power harnessed for good. It's the ability to be forceful but choosing to be tender, to be strong but choosing to be kind. Jesus described Himself as "gentle and lowly in heart." This is the same Jesus who overturned tables in the temple, who confronted religious hypocrisy, who calmed storms with a word. He wasn't weak—He was the most powerful person who ever lived. But He exercised His power with gentleness, especially toward the vulnerable, the broken, and the marginalized. I've had to learn gentleness the hard way. By nature, I'm strong-willed and direct. I see what needs to be done and I go after it with determination. Those qualities have served me well in leadership, but I've also learned that strength w...

WISDOM

Queen Abbess Dr Patricia Hackshaw The Fear of the Lord "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." — Proverbs 9:10 My Dear Children, Wisdom is the fear of the Lord—the deep reverence for His holiness, the awe of His power, and the trust in His goodness. I have spent my life seeking wisdom, and I have learned that it is not about human knowledge but about divine understanding. It is the ability to see life from God’s perspective and to make choices that align with His will. In The Mystical Order, we do not rely on our own understanding. We seek God’s wisdom through prayer, Scripture, and the counsel of the Holy Spirit. Wisdom is the compass that guides our steps, the light that illuminates our path, and the voice that speaks truth to our hearts. But let me warn you: The enemy will tempt you to rely on your own wisdom, to trust in your own understanding, and to lean on your own strength. Do not listen to his lies. T...

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE WITH THE ARCHBISHOP

Archbishop and Presiding Prelate Hon. Andres B. Quow Beloved, devotion is the quiet engine that moves the Church forward when excitement fades and routine sets in. Grand beginnings are common; consistent faithfulness is rare. Yet it is faithfulness that heaven honours. Devotion steadies the hands that might otherwise drop assignments, and it strengthens the knees that might otherwise grow weak in prayer. It reminds the soul that ministry is not a passing project but a lifelong offering poured out before the Lord. As Presiding Prelate, gratitude rises for all who labour in this Mystical Order—those whose names are known and those who serve in hidden corners. Devotion dignifies every role, for it sees beyond the task to the One for whom the task is done. When a believer cleans, sings, teaches, counsels, or intercedes with a devoted heart, the ordinary becomes holy. This perspective guards against frustration and burnout, for the eye is fixed not on temporary results but on eterna...

THE PROMISE OF RESTORATION

Title: "Hope for the Future: God’s Promise of Restoration" Beloved in the Lord, No matter what you have lost or what has been broken,  God is a God of restoration . Joel 2:25 declares,  "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten."  God does not abandon us in our brokenness—He redeems, renews, and restores. This week, if you are holding onto past hurts, disappointments, or lost dreams,  surrender them to God . Trust that He is  working all things together for your good  (Romans 8:28). What may seem irreparable in your eyes is never beyond His power to restore. Ask yourself: Am I allowing my past to define me, or am I trusting God to restore and renew my life? Let go of what was and embrace the hope of what God is doing now. For more teachings on restoration and hope, visit  Mystical Order Inc.  and  Mystical Brotherhood . May you walk in the confidence of God’s restoring power, knowing that your best days are ah...

FAITH THAT OVERCOMES TRIALS

HH, Patriarch Sir Godfrey Beloved members of The Mystical Order, Grace, peace, and blessings be multiplied unto each of you in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour. As your Patriarch, I write to remind you that faith is not tested in times of comfort but in the midst of storms that shake the soul. The Word tells us that without faith it is impossible to please God, and this sacred truth calls us daily to trust even when we cannot trace His hand. Every trial that visits your life is not meant to destroy your joy but to deepen your faith. Like gold refined through fire, so must the soul be purified through testing. When the winds of adversity rise, remember the disciples in the boat who cried out in fear, forgetting that Christ was with them. Yet, in one moment, He rebuked the wind and said, “Peace, be still.” That same voice still speaks over the tempests in our lives today. Hold fast to your faith, brethren. The battle is not against flesh and blood but against doubt and des...

THE PATIENT ENDURANCE OF LOVE

LONG-SUFFERING Pastoral Messages by Matriarch Elnette Edwards Precious ones, Long-suffering—what a beautiful, old-fashioned word that captures something essential to Christian character. It means patient endurance in the face of provocation, suffering, or delay. It's love that refuses to give up, hope that refuses to die, and patience that refuses to run out. Long-suffering is listed as a fruit of the Spirit in Galatians, right alongside love and joy. That should tell us something—it's not optional for mature believers. It's evidence that the Holy Spirit is at work in us, transforming our quick tempers, our impatience, and our tendency to give up when things get hard. I've learned about long-suffering through decades of ministry. People will disappoint you. They'll misunderstand you, criticize you, betray you, and leave you. Projects will take longer than expected. Prayers will seem unanswered for years. Prodigals will stay in the far country fa...

COURAGE

Queen Abbess Dr Patricia Hackshaw  The Call to Stand Firm "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." — Joshua 1:9 My Beloved, Courage is not the absence of fear but the willingness to trust God in the face of it. I have walked through many battles, and I have learned that courage is not about human strength—it is about divine empowerment. It is the assurance that God is with us, that He is faithful, and that He will never abandon us. In The Mystical Order, we do not shrink back from the challenges that come our way. We stand firm, for we know that God is our strength and our shield. Courage is the willingness to step out in faith, to speak truth, and to stand for what is right, even when it is costly. But let me share a truth I have learned: Courage is not about being fearless; it is about trusting God more than our fears. It is the willingness to obey Him, even when the path is un...

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE WITH THE ARCHBISHOP

Archbishop and Presiding Prelate Hon. Andres B. Quow Beloved, devotion is the gentle but unbreakable cord that draws the Church into deeper unity with Christ and with one another. Many forces seek to scatter the flock—offence, misunderstanding, weariness—but devotion calls us back to the Shepherd and Overseer of our souls. When the heart is truly devoted to God, it cannot long remain hardened toward a brother or sister. The same grace we receive at the cross becomes the grace we extend to those around us. In this way, devotion becomes a healing river, softening hearts and restoring fellowship. As Archbishop, the hope is to see this healing river flow freely through every assembly within this Mystical Order. It begins when each believer chooses the path of humility rather than the path of self-justification. Devotion bows low, acknowledging that without God’s mercy, none could stand. From this posture, apologies become easier, reconciliation becomes possible, and unity be...

THE JOY OF GIVING

Title: " Living Generously : The Blessing of a Giving Heart" Dear Brothers and Sisters, Generosity is at the heart of the Christian life. In Acts 20:35, we are reminded of Jesus’ words:  "It is more blessed to give than to receive."  Giving is not just about money—it is about sharing our time, talents, love, and resources with others. When we give, we reflect God’s character and open the door for His blessings in our lives. This week, look for opportunities to give generously. It could be a kind word to someone in need, a helping hand to a neighbor, or a financial gift to support a ministry.  Giving breaks the hold of selfishness  and connects us to God’s heart for others. Ask yourself: How can I be a blessing to someone today? Let generosity flow from a heart of gratitude for all that God has given you. For resources on living a life of generosity, visit  Mystical Order Inc.  and  Mystical Brotherhood . May your giving bring joy to others...
