VISION: SEEING BEYOND THE PRESENT

Pastoral Messages by Matriarch Elnette Edwards Dear family, Vision is the ability to see beyond current circumstances to what God intends. It's spiritual sight that perceives possibilities others miss, that recognizes potential others overlook, and that believes for breakthrough others consider impossible. Without vision, Proverbs tells us, people perish. Vision is essential for purposeful, powerful living. When God gives vision, He's inviting us to partner with Him in bringing something from the spiritual realm into the natural realm. He shows us the end from the beginning, not so we can sit back and wait, but so we can actively participate in birthing what He's shown us. Vision requires both seeing and doing. I remember when God gave me vision for our ministry—I saw clearly what He intended to build. But the vision didn't look anything like our current reality. We were small, struggling, limited in resources. Many people would have dismissed the vision as unrealist...

THANKFULNESS

Queen Abbess Dr Patricia Hackshaw A Lifestyle of Worship "Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name." — Psalm 100:4 My Beloved, Thankfulness is more than an occasional expression—it is a lifestyle of worship. It is the overflow of a heart that recognizes God’s sovereignty, His goodness, and His love. I have spent my life in the presence of God, and I have learned that thankfulness is not about circumstances—it is about perspective. It is the choice to focus on God’s blessings rather than our burdens. In The Mystical Order, we do not reserve thankfulness for the good times. We practice it in every season, for we know that God is worthy of our praise. Thankfulness is the song that rises in the night, the prayer that lifts our hearts, and the attitude that transforms our lives. But let me share a truth I have learned: Thankfulness is a weapon . It silences the enemy’s lies, it shifts our focus from our problems t...

WALKING IN THE FULNESS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Walking in the Fullness of the Holy Spirit Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, The Holy Spirit is not merely a force or an influence; He is the third Person of the Trinity , sent to dwell within us, guide us, and empower us for the work of God’s kingdom. Jesus promised His disciples, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth" (Acts 1:8). This promise is for every believer, calling us to live in the fullness of the Spirit’s power. Walking in the Spirit means surrendering our will to His leading. It means allowing Him to shape our thoughts, direct our steps, and transform our hearts. The Apostle Paul exhorts us in Galatians 5:16, "So I say, walk by the Spirit , and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh." When we yield to the Holy Spirit, we experience victory over sin , wisdom in decision-making, and a deepened intimacy with God. ...

THE GIFT OF GOD'S GRACE

Title: "Living in His Grace" Dear Brothers and Sisters, Grace is God’s unmerited favour, freely given to us through Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9 tells us, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast." Grace is not something we earn but something we receive with humility and gratitude. This week, let’s reflect on the gift of God’s grace in our lives. It’s easy to fall into the trap of trying to earn God’s love, but grace reminds us that we are already loved and accepted. Let grace transform your heart and motivate you to extend that same grace to others. Ask yourself: Am I living in the freedom of God’s grace, or am I striving to earn His approval? Let grace be your foundation. For more on living in God’s grace, visit Mystical Order Inc. and Mystical Brotherhood . May you experience the fullness of God’s grace in your life. In His love,  Patriarch Darrindel...

OVERCOMING SPIRITUAL DRYNESS

HH, Patriarch Sir Godfrey Beloved Companions on the Path, I write to you today about a phenomenon that every sincere seeker eventually encounters spiritual dryness. There come seasons in our journey when the practices that once filled us with joy feel mechanical, when prayers that once soared to heaven seem to fall flat, when the sense of divine presence that once warmed our hearts grows distant and cold. If you are experiencing such a season now, know that you are not being punished, you have not lost your way, and you are not failing in your spiritual walk. Spiritual dryness is actually a sign of progress, though this may seem counterintuitive. In the beginning stages of spiritual development, the Divine often grants us abundant consolations—feelings of peace, experiences of presence, emotional highs during prayer and meditation. These gifts are given to encourage us, to draw us deeper into relationship, to convince us of spiritual realities. But as we mature, these consolat...

BROKENNESS: THE PATH TO WHOLENESS

Pastoral Messages by Matriarch Elnette Edwards Beloved ones, Brokenness is not something we seek, yet it's often the very place where God does His deepest work. When life shatters our plans, crushes our pride, and strips away what we thought defined us—that's when we're most open to transformation. Brokenness is painful, but it's also sacred. The Bible uses the image of a broken alabaster jar—when Mary broke the jar of expensive perfume and poured it on Jesus, the fragrance filled the entire house. Her brokenness released something beautiful. So it is with us—when we're broken before God, something fragrant is released that blesses others and brings glory to Him. I've experienced brokenness multiple times. Each time felt devastating in the moment. My carefully constructed plans crumbled. My self-sufficiency proved insufficient. My strengths revealed themselves as weaknesses. My pride was humbled. I felt like a failure. But looking back, I see that those broke...

PERSEVERANCE

Queen Abbess Dr Patricia Hackshaw The Courage to Keep Going "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." — Galatians 6:9 My Dear Ones, Perseverance is the courage to keep going, even when the journey is long and the path is difficult. It is not about sheer willpower but about trusting God’s faithfulness and His timing. I have spent my life in service to God, and I have learned that perseverance is not about our strength—it is about His grace sustaining us. In The Mystical Order, we do not give up when the road is hard. We press on, for we know that God is faithful to complete the work He has begun in us. Perseverance is the willingness to keep moving forward, to keep trusting, and to keep believing, even when we cannot see the end. But let me warn you: The enemy will tempt you to quit , to grow weary, and to lose heart. Do not listen to his lies. True perseverance is not about our effort; it is about our ...

THE LIBERATING POWER OF FORGIVENESS

The Liberating Power of Forgiveness Dear Beloved in Christ, Forgiveness is one of the most profound and challenging callings of the Christian life. Jesus taught us to pray, "Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors" (Matthew 6:12). This prayer is not merely a request; it is a commitment to extend the same grace we have received from God to those who have wronged us. Forgiveness is not an option—it is a command. In Colossians 3:13, we are instructed, "Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you." When we refuse to forgive, we allow bitterness and resentment to take root in our hearts, which can hinder our spiritual growth and rob us of our peace. Forgiveness is not about excusing wrongdoing or pretending that hurt never happened. It is about releasing the burden of anger and entrusting justice to God. When we forgive, we free ourselves from the chains of the past a...

HE BEAUTY OF SURRENDER

Title: "Surrendering to God’s Will" Beloved in Christ, Surrender is not a sign of weakness but of trust. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight." Surrendering to God’s will means letting go of control and trusting that His plans are better than our own. This week, let’s practice surrender in our daily lives. Whether in decisions, relationships, or challenges, submit to God’s leading. Surrender opens the door for His peace and direction in our lives. Ask yourself: Am I holding onto control, or am I trusting God with my future? Let surrender be your act of faith. For more on surrendering to God, visit Mystical Order Inc. and Mystical Brotherhood . May you find peace and direction as you surrender to God’s will. In His hands,  Patriarch Darrindel Johnson

YOUR SACRED PURPOSE

HH, Patriarch Sir Godfrey Dearest Members of The Mystical Order, Each of you has been called to this path for a reason. Your presence in our community is not accidental, coincidental, or random. Before you took physical form, before you drew your first breath in this world, your soul agreed to a sacred mission. That mission is your purpose and fulfilling it is the key to your deepest satisfaction and highest joy. Some of you know your purpose clearly. You feel it burning in your chest, calling you forward with undeniable insistence. Others among you are still seeking, still questioning, still wondering what unique contribution you are meant to make. To both groups I say: be at peace. Purpose is not something you must frantically search for like a lost object. It is something you uncover through the process of becoming more fully yourself, more aligned with your authentic nature, more open to divine guidance. Your purpose may not look like what you expected. It may not come wi...

PEACE: THE GIFT BEYOND UNDERSTANDING

Pastoral Messages by Matriarch Elnette Edwards My dear children, Peace—true peace—is one of the most precious gifts God offers us. Not the absence of problems, but the presence of His calm in the midst of chaos. Not escape from storms, but supernatural tranquility while weathering them. Not dependent on circumstances but rooted in knowing the One who controls all circumstances. Jesus promised to give us His peace—not as the world gives, but peace that transcends understanding. The world offers temporary peace through favorable circumstances, escape, or control. But Jesus offers lasting peace through His presence, regardless of what we're facing. This is the peace that Paul described peace that guards our hearts and minds even when everything around us is falling apart. I've experienced this supernatural peace in some of my darkest moments. When I faced serious health challenges, when I lost loved ones, when ministry was under attack—there was a peace that made no logical sen...

GRATITUDE

Queen Abbess Dr Patricia Hackshaw The Heart’s Response to God’s Goodness "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." — 1 Thessalonians 5:18 My Beloved Children, Gratitude is the heart’s response to God’s goodness. It is not dependent on our circumstances but is a choice to recognize and celebrate God’s faithfulness in every season of life. I have walked through valleys and mountaintops, and I have learned that gratitude is not a feeling—it is a discipline. It is the practice of acknowledging God’s presence, His provision, and His promises, even when life is difficult. In The Mystical Order, we do not wait for perfect conditions to give thanks. We cultivate gratitude in all things, for we know that God is at work, even in the trials. Gratitude is the antidote to bitterness, the remedy for anxiety, and the gateway to joy. It shifts our focus from what we lack to what we have been given, and it opens our hearts to experience God’s p...

THE BEAUTY OF GOD'S TIMING

The Beauty of God’s Timing Dear Beloved in the Lord, We live in a world that values instant gratification, where waiting is often seen as a burden rather than a blessing. Yet, God’s timing is perfect , and His delays are not denials. Ecclesiastes 3:11 tells us, "He has made everything beautiful in its time." This truth reminds us that God is at work, even when we cannot see the results immediately. Waiting on God is not passive; it is an active expression of faith. It requires patience, trust, and a willingness to surrender our timelines to His wisdom. Consider the story of Joseph, who endured years of slavery and imprisonment before God elevated him to a position of authority (Genesis 37-50). His story teaches us that God’s timing is always purposeful, and His plans are far greater than our own. When we find ourselves in seasons of waiting , let us use that time to draw closer to God. Let us seek His presence, grow in our faith, and prepare our hearts for what He has in ...

THE POWER OF FAITH

Title: "Walking by Faith" Dear Brothers and Sisters, Faith is the foundation of our relationship with God. Hebrews 11:1 tells us, "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." Faith is not about having all the answers but about trusting God even when we don’t. This week, let’s choose to walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). Trust that God is working even when you can’t see the way forward. Faith grows when we step out in obedience, believing that God is faithful to His promises. Ask yourself: Am I trusting God in every area of my life, or am I relying on my own understanding? Let faith be your guide. For more on walking by faith, visit Mystical Order Inc. and Mystical Brotherhood . May your faith grow stronger as you trust in God’s faithfulness. In His promises,  Patriarch Darrindel Johnson

THE POWER OF SURRENDER

HH, Patriarch Sir Godfrey Beloved Seekers, There is a paradox at the heart of the mystical path that I wish to illuminate for you today: true power comes through surrender. This concept confounds the logical mind, which has been trained to believe that control and force are the means to achievement. Yet in the spiritual realm, the opposite is true. The more we try to grasp, the more eludes us. The more we attempt to control, the more chaos we create. But when we surrender—truly surrender—to the Divine will, we discover a power beyond anything our human effort could generate. Surrender is not resignation. It is not passive acceptance of injustice or a refusal to take appropriate action. Rather, surrender is the recognition that there is an intelligence at work in the universe far greater than our limited human understanding, and when we align ourselves with this intelligence rather than resisting it, we become channels for its magnificent power. We become co-creators with the D...
