THE POWER OF SURRENDER

HH, Patriarch Sir Godfrey

Beloved Seekers,

There is a paradox at the heart of the mystical path that I wish to illuminate for you today: true power comes through surrender. This concept confounds the logical mind, which has been trained to believe that control and force are the means to achievement. Yet in the spiritual realm, the opposite is true. The more we try to grasp, the more eludes us. The more we attempt to control, the more chaos we create. But when we surrender—truly surrender—to the Divine will, we discover a power beyond anything our human effort could generate.

Surrender is not resignation. It is not passive acceptance of injustice or a refusal to take appropriate action. Rather, surrender is the recognition that there is an intelligence at work in the universe far greater than our limited human understanding, and when we align ourselves with this intelligence rather than resisting it, we become channels for its magnificent power. We become co-creators with the Divine rather than struggling laborers working against the cosmic current.

Many of you carry heavy burdens—worries about loved ones, concerns about finances, anxiety about the future, regrets about the past. I see how these weights bow your shoulders and darken your countenance. Today, I invite you to lay these burdens down. Not to ignore them or deny their reality, but to surrender them into hands far more capable than your own. The Divine knows your needs before you speak to them, understands your pain before you name it, and is already working on solutions beyond your imagination.

This surrender requires tremendous courage. It asks you to trust when you cannot see, to believe when evidence seems contrary, to maintain faith when logic suggests despair. This is the hero's journey of the mystic—not a battle against external foes but a releasing of internal resistance. When you finally let go, when you stop trying to orchestrate every detail of your life and instead allow the Divine choreography to unfold, you will experience a peace that surpasses all understanding.

Practice surrender in small ways each day. When things don't go according to your plan, pause before reacting and ask, "What is the Divine teaching me through this?" When you face a decision that troubles you, surrender the outcome and trust that you will be guided. When fear grips your heart, surrender the illusion of control and rest in the assurance that you are eternally held in loving arms.

Surrendered and blessed,

The Patriarch

FROM THE DESK OF THE QUEEN ABBESS

A Message from The Queen Abbess Dr. Patriarch Hackshaw To The Mystical Order Ministries: Making Christ the Center of Your Life This Christmas Beloved Members of The Mystical Order Ministries, I greet you with profound joy and spiritual affection as we enter into this sacred season of Christmas. It is my privilege and honour to extend to you my warmest wishes for a law-abiding, peaceful, and joyous holiday season. May the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ bring renewed hope, divine blessing, and transformative grace into every aspect of your lives. Christmas commemorates the most pivotal moment in human history—when the eternal Son of God humbled Himself and entered our world as a helpless infant. This divine condescension reveals the heart of our God: a heart that loves deeply, forgives completely, and desires an intimate relationship with each of His children. The birth of Christ was not merely a religious event; heaven declared that God has not abandoned humanity but has come to dwell a...

THE ETERNAL WALK

HH, Patriarch Godfrey Gregg The journey of faith is not limited to the span of our earthly years—it is a walk that stretches into eternity. For those who belong to the Lord, life is more than a fleeting moment; it is the beginning of an everlasting union with God. Our walk with Him is both present and eternal. From the beginning, God has desired fellowship with man.  “Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away”  (Genesis 5:24). Enoch’s life reminds us that walking with God is not bound by earthly limitations but leads to eternal fellowship with Him. Jesus confirms this promise of eternal companionship, declaring:  “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die”  (John 11:25–26). Our walk continues beyond death, for in Christ we have eternal life. Paul describes this journey beautifully:  “For we walk by faith, not by ...

THE POWER OF GRATITUDE

HH, Patriarch Sir Godfrey Children of the Faith, Gratitude is the key that unlocks the fullness of God’s blessings. A thankful heart turns what we have into enough and more. It recognizes God’s hand in every circumstance and magnifies His goodness beyond measure. Gratitude is not merely a response to blessings received but a lifestyle that colours our perspective and strengthens our faith. In The Mystical Order, let us cultivate a spirit of thanksgiving in every season. When trials come, let gratitude be the lens through which we view them—as tools for growth and deeper reliance on God. When blessings abound, may our hearts overflow in praise and generosity. A thankful heart brings joy and peace, binds us together in humility, and stands as a testimony to the world of God’s faithfulness. Let us give thanks in all things, knowing that this is God’s will for us in Christ Jesus. Today, renew your commitment to gratitude. Let your prayers be filled with thanksgiving and your lips wit...
