THE CALL TO HUMILITY AND SERVICE

The Call to Humility and Service

Dear Beloved in Christ,

In a world that often glorifies power, prestige, and self-promotion, the call to humility and service stands as a . Jesus Himself, the King of Kings, demonstrated the ultimate act of humility when He washed the feet of His disciples (John 13:1-17). He said, "I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you." This act was not merely symbolic; it was a profound lesson in .

Humility is not weakness; it is the strength to recognize our dependence on God and our responsibility to serve others. The Apostle Paul exhorts us in Philippians 2:3-4, "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others." This call to humility is a call to love—love that puts others first, love that seeks to uplift rather than dominate, and love that reflects the heart of Christ.

is measured not by how many serve us, but by how many we serve. When we embrace humility, we open ourselves to the work of the Holy Spirit, who empowers us to love selflessly and to lead with compassion. Let us ask ourselves: Are we seeking to be served, or are we looking for opportunities to serve? Are we focused on our own advancement, or are we investing in the well-being of others?

Let us follow the example of Christ, who came not to be served but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many (Mark 10:45). May our lives be marked by humility, our actions by service, and our hearts by love.

In His Humility,

Archbishop and Presiding Prelate

Sir Andres B. Quow

FROM THE DESK OF THE QUEEN ABBESS

A Message from The Queen Abbess Dr. Patriarch Hackshaw To The Mystical Order Ministries: Making Christ the Center of Your Life This Christmas Beloved Members of The Mystical Order Ministries, I greet you with profound joy and spiritual affection as we enter into this sacred season of Christmas. It is my privilege and honour to extend to you my warmest wishes for a law-abiding, peaceful, and joyous holiday season. May the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ bring renewed hope, divine blessing, and transformative grace into every aspect of your lives. Christmas commemorates the most pivotal moment in human history—when the eternal Son of God humbled Himself and entered our world as a helpless infant. This divine condescension reveals the heart of our God: a heart that loves deeply, forgives completely, and desires an intimate relationship with each of His children. The birth of Christ was not merely a religious event; heaven declared that God has not abandoned humanity but has come to dwell a...

THE ETERNAL WALK

HH, Patriarch Godfrey Gregg The journey of faith is not limited to the span of our earthly years—it is a walk that stretches into eternity. For those who belong to the Lord, life is more than a fleeting moment; it is the beginning of an everlasting union with God. Our walk with Him is both present and eternal. From the beginning, God has desired fellowship with man.  “Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away”  (Genesis 5:24). Enoch’s life reminds us that walking with God is not bound by earthly limitations but leads to eternal fellowship with Him. Jesus confirms this promise of eternal companionship, declaring:  “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die”  (John 11:25–26). Our walk continues beyond death, for in Christ we have eternal life. Paul describes this journey beautifully:  “For we walk by faith, not by ...

THE POWER OF GRATITUDE

HH, Patriarch Sir Godfrey Children of the Faith, Gratitude is the key that unlocks the fullness of God’s blessings. A thankful heart turns what we have into enough and more. It recognizes God’s hand in every circumstance and magnifies His goodness beyond measure. Gratitude is not merely a response to blessings received but a lifestyle that colours our perspective and strengthens our faith. In The Mystical Order, let us cultivate a spirit of thanksgiving in every season. When trials come, let gratitude be the lens through which we view them—as tools for growth and deeper reliance on God. When blessings abound, may our hearts overflow in praise and generosity. A thankful heart brings joy and peace, binds us together in humility, and stands as a testimony to the world of God’s faithfulness. Let us give thanks in all things, knowing that this is God’s will for us in Christ Jesus. Today, renew your commitment to gratitude. Let your prayers be filled with thanksgiving and your lips wit...
