The Strength of the Lord
"The joy of the Lord is your strength." — Nehemiah 8:10
My Dear Ones,
Joy is the strength of the Lord within us. It is not the absence of trials but the assurance of God’s presence in the midst of them. I have walked through many seasons of life, and I have learned that joy is not a feeling—it is a choice. It is the decision to trust God, to praise Him in all circumstances, and to rest in His love.
In The Mystical Order, we do not wait for joy to find us. We cultivate it through worship, gratitude, and the discipline of fixing our eyes on Jesus. Joy is the song that rises in the night, the peace that guards our hearts, and the strength that sustains us in the storms of life.
But let me warn you: The enemy will tempt you to focus on your circumstances, to dwell on your struggles, and to lose sight of God’s goodness. Do not listen to his lies. Joy is not found in the absence of pain but in the presence of God.
Ask yourself: Am I choosing joy today, regardless of my circumstances? True joy is not dependent on our situation but on our Saviour.
With a Heart of Joy,
Queen Abbess Patricia
