FELLOWSHIP: WE NEED EACH OTHER

Pastoral Messages by Matriarch Elnette Edwards

Precious family,

Let me tell you something I've learned through decades of ministry: you cannot walk this faith journey alone. I don't care how strong you are, how much Bible knowledge you have, or how deep your prayer life is—God designed us for community, and we need each other.

I grew up in a time when community wasn't optional—it was survival. When someone's house burned down, we rebuilt it together. When someone got sick, we brought meals and sat with them. When someone lost a loved one, we mourned together and held them up when grief threatened to swallow them whole. We understood that we were stronger together than we could ever be apart.

Somewhere along the way, we lost that. We got busy, isolated, independent. We started believing the lie that asking for help is weakness, that vulnerability is dangerous, that we should have it all together before we show up. And we're suffering for it—lonely, burned out, carrying burdens we were never meant to carry alone.

True fellowship isn't just showing up to church on Sunday morning, smiling and saying "I'm blessed" when you're really breaking inside. True fellowship is being real about the struggle. It's saying "I'm not okay" and having sisters and brothers who respond with "We'll walk through this together." It's confessing your faults, your failures, your fears, and finding grace instead of judgment.

I remember when I was going through the hardest season of my life. I tried to hold it together, to be strong for everyone else, to keep up appearances. But one Sunday, I just broke. Right there in the middle of service, I broke. And you know what happened? My church family surrounded me. They laid hands on me. They prayed for me. They took turns bringing me meals for weeks. They called to check on me. They reminded me of who I was when I couldn't remember myself.

That's fellowship. That's the body of Christ functioning the way God intended. We're not just a gathering of individuals—we're a family, and family shows up for each other.

But fellowship requires something from us too. It requires consistency—you can't build deep relationships by showing up once a month. It requires vulnerability—you have to let people see the real you. It requires commitment—you stay even when it's inconvenient, even when there's conflict, even when you're not getting your needs met perfectly.

If you've been trying to do life alone, I'm inviting you back into community. Find your people. Join a small group. Show up authentically. Let others carry you when you're weak, and be willing to carry them when they are. We need each other. This journey is too hard, too long, and too important to walk alone.

Come on home to fellowship,

Matriarch Elnette Edwards

FROM THE DESK OF THE QUEEN ABBESS

A Message from The Queen Abbess Dr. Patriarch Hackshaw To The Mystical Order Ministries: Making Christ the Center of Your Life This Christmas Beloved Members of The Mystical Order Ministries, I greet you with profound joy and spiritual affection as we enter into this sacred season of Christmas. It is my privilege and honour to extend to you my warmest wishes for a law-abiding, peaceful, and joyous holiday season. May the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ bring renewed hope, divine blessing, and transformative grace into every aspect of your lives. Christmas commemorates the most pivotal moment in human history—when the eternal Son of God humbled Himself and entered our world as a helpless infant. This divine condescension reveals the heart of our God: a heart that loves deeply, forgives completely, and desires an intimate relationship with each of His children. The birth of Christ was not merely a religious event; heaven declared that God has not abandoned humanity but has come to dwell a...

THE ETERNAL WALK

HH, Patriarch Godfrey Gregg The journey of faith is not limited to the span of our earthly years—it is a walk that stretches into eternity. For those who belong to the Lord, life is more than a fleeting moment; it is the beginning of an everlasting union with God. Our walk with Him is both present and eternal. From the beginning, God has desired fellowship with man.  “Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away”  (Genesis 5:24). Enoch’s life reminds us that walking with God is not bound by earthly limitations but leads to eternal fellowship with Him. Jesus confirms this promise of eternal companionship, declaring:  “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die”  (John 11:25–26). Our walk continues beyond death, for in Christ we have eternal life. Paul describes this journey beautifully:  “For we walk by faith, not by ...

THE POWER OF GRATITUDE

HH, Patriarch Sir Godfrey Children of the Faith, Gratitude is the key that unlocks the fullness of God’s blessings. A thankful heart turns what we have into enough and more. It recognizes God’s hand in every circumstance and magnifies His goodness beyond measure. Gratitude is not merely a response to blessings received but a lifestyle that colours our perspective and strengthens our faith. In The Mystical Order, let us cultivate a spirit of thanksgiving in every season. When trials come, let gratitude be the lens through which we view them—as tools for growth and deeper reliance on God. When blessings abound, may our hearts overflow in praise and generosity. A thankful heart brings joy and peace, binds us together in humility, and stands as a testimony to the world of God’s faithfulness. Let us give thanks in all things, knowing that this is God’s will for us in Christ Jesus. Today, renew your commitment to gratitude. Let your prayers be filled with thanksgiving and your lips wit...
