STEPS OF WORSHIP IN SCRIPTURE

HH, Patriarch Godfrey Gregg

Worship is a journey of the heart and soul towards God's presence, and the Bible offers guidance in how to approach Him meaningfully. Here are foundational steps with Scriptures:

1. Invitation

Worship begins with an invitation to enter God's presence joyfully and wholeheartedly.

  • “Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.” — Psalm 95:1

2. Humility

A heart attitude of humility is essential, recognizing God’s grace and our need for Him.

  • “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” — James 4:6

3. Thanksgiving

Offer thanksgiving for all God has done, expressing gratitude as you approach Him.

  • “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” — Psalm 100:4

4. Praise and Adoration

Engage in praise and adoration, lifting voices, songs, and music to honour God’s greatness and goodness.

  • “Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.” — Psalm 95:2

  • “Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.” — Psalm 95:6

5. Intimacy and Fellowship

Draw near with intimacy and reverence, acknowledging God's care and our relationship with Him.

  • “For he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care.” — Psalm 95:7

6. Living Sacrifice

True worship is not only what is done in gatherings, but also offering oneself as a living sacrifice each day.

  • “Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.” — Romans 12:1

7. Spirit and Truth

God desires worship that is authentic, from the heart, honest and aligned with His truth.

  • “True worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.” — John 4:23

May these Scriptures and steps encourage a deeper, richer walk with God in worship, both privately and in community.

FROM THE DESK OF THE QUEEN ABBESS

A Message from The Queen Abbess Dr. Patriarch Hackshaw To The Mystical Order Ministries: Making Christ the Center of Your Life This Christmas Beloved Members of The Mystical Order Ministries, I greet you with profound joy and spiritual affection as we enter into this sacred season of Christmas. It is my privilege and honour to extend to you my warmest wishes for a law-abiding, peaceful, and joyous holiday season. May the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ bring renewed hope, divine blessing, and transformative grace into every aspect of your lives. Christmas commemorates the most pivotal moment in human history—when the eternal Son of God humbled Himself and entered our world as a helpless infant. This divine condescension reveals the heart of our God: a heart that loves deeply, forgives completely, and desires an intimate relationship with each of His children. The birth of Christ was not merely a religious event; heaven declared that God has not abandoned humanity but has come to dwell a...

THE ETERNAL WALK

HH, Patriarch Godfrey Gregg The journey of faith is not limited to the span of our earthly years—it is a walk that stretches into eternity. For those who belong to the Lord, life is more than a fleeting moment; it is the beginning of an everlasting union with God. Our walk with Him is both present and eternal. From the beginning, God has desired fellowship with man.  “Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away”  (Genesis 5:24). Enoch’s life reminds us that walking with God is not bound by earthly limitations but leads to eternal fellowship with Him. Jesus confirms this promise of eternal companionship, declaring:  “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die”  (John 11:25–26). Our walk continues beyond death, for in Christ we have eternal life. Paul describes this journey beautifully:  “For we walk by faith, not by ...

THE POWER OF GRATITUDE

HH, Patriarch Sir Godfrey Children of the Faith, Gratitude is the key that unlocks the fullness of God’s blessings. A thankful heart turns what we have into enough and more. It recognizes God’s hand in every circumstance and magnifies His goodness beyond measure. Gratitude is not merely a response to blessings received but a lifestyle that colours our perspective and strengthens our faith. In The Mystical Order, let us cultivate a spirit of thanksgiving in every season. When trials come, let gratitude be the lens through which we view them—as tools for growth and deeper reliance on God. When blessings abound, may our hearts overflow in praise and generosity. A thankful heart brings joy and peace, binds us together in humility, and stands as a testimony to the world of God’s faithfulness. Let us give thanks in all things, knowing that this is God’s will for us in Christ Jesus. Today, renew your commitment to gratitude. Let your prayers be filled with thanksgiving and your lips wit...
