HH, Patriarch Godfrey Gregg
The journey of faith is not limited to the span of our earthly years—it is a walk that stretches into eternity. For those who belong to the Lord, life is more than a fleeting moment; it is the beginning of an everlasting union with God. Our walk with Him is both present and eternal.
From the beginning, God has desired fellowship with man. “Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away” (Genesis 5:24). Enoch’s life reminds us that walking with God is not bound by earthly limitations but leads to eternal fellowship with Him.
Jesus confirms this promise of eternal companionship, declaring: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die” (John 11:25-26). Our walk continues beyond death, for in Christ we have eternal life.
Paul describes this journey beautifully: “For we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7). Faith sustains us now, but one day faith will give way to sight when we behold Him face-to-face. This is the fulfilment of our eternal walk—no longer hindered by sin or struggle, but perfected in His presence.
In eternity, our walk will become worship. John’s vision in Revelation reveals this glorious end: “They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy” (Revelation 3:4). What begins as a daily devotion here culminates in everlasting communion with Christ in glory.
So, let us purpose our steps carefully each day, knowing that every moment of obedience on earth is a part of this greater story—the eternal walk with our Lord.
✨ Reflection: The eternal walk begins now—through faith, obedience, and fellowship with God. One day, we will walk with Him unending, clothed in glory, forever.
Life is full of seasons. God often leads us through times of change—moments where He shifts us from one place, role, or assignment to another. These transitions can feel uncertain, but His Word gives us clear steps to walk in confidence and faith.
1. Seek God’s Guidance
Before taking a step forward, we must look to God for direction.
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5–6)
Transition begins with surrender—placing our plans in God’s hands and allowing Him to order each step.
2. Remember God’s Presence
Change can feel lonely or overwhelming, but God’s presence goes with us.
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)
Wherever the new season leads, His presence remains steady.
3. Let Go of the Old
Every transition requires leaving behind something familiar.
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” (Isaiah 43:18–19)
To embrace the new, we must be willing to let go of what once was.
4. Step Forward in Faith
Transition requires action, even when we can’t see the full picture.
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7)
Faith keeps us moving, trusting that God’s way is better than our own comfort or clarity.
5. Trust God’s Timing
Sometimes the waiting season is part of the transition process.
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1)
God’s timing is always perfect—even when the process feels slow, He is aligning all things for His glory and our good.
Encouragement
Every transition is an opportunity to grow deeper in faith and reliance on God. Don’t fear the unknown—He who began a good work in you will carry it to completion (Philippians 1:6).
